History
ELETTROMECCANICA A. COLOMBO established in 1954 with the aim of working in the field of electromechanical low voltage applications, implemented in the design and manufacture of modular terminal blocks for electrical panels, for use in both industrial and civil installations.
The Company, founded by Mr. Angelo Colombo, grown and established as a typical Italian company : originally a family firm, soon became a prominent company in its sector thanks to the spirit and entrepreneurial initiative of the founder, his industriousness, foresight and dedication to the continuous development, the same characteristics that have led the Italian industry at the first places in the world.
These peculiarities still distinguish today the Company which continues its successful activity thanks to the management of the second generation of the Colombo family.
The business, started in the heart of Bergamo, moved to the outskirts during the sixties for continued expansion reasons, to find then its permanent location in Treviolo where today is spread over an area of 10,000 sqm, located in one of the most important industrial districts of northern Italy, the crux of the main roads of national and European communications.
More than 60 years of experience in the electrical connections allows today to offer to the electromechanical market a complete and evolving range of modular terminal block for DIN rails, made in conformity with major and severe reference international standards such as IEC, UL, CSA.
During its history, many have been the contacts and developed business relationships with companies localized in European and non-European countries.
The Italian market remains, then as now, the primary basis of sales thanks to a qualified network of agents that actively operates on the whole national territory.
In addition to a well-established sales network the search for new customers and opportunities is entrusted to the Marketing Office which plays a key role at Company’s internal.
